01 / Finding your place

How to find stays, PGs and homes in Bangalore

Start with your daily routine rather than a long list of properties. Decide which areas keep work, study, family and everyday essentials within reach. Bangalore, also known as Bengaluru, has many different neighbourhoods; the most useful search is the one that matches where you actually need to be.

  1. Choose a locality or use your location

Open the map and search for a locality or pincode. You can also allow location access to see the area around you. For example, enter a neighbourhood such as Indiranagar, Whitefield or Beguru, then move the map to compare nearby streets. These are search examples; available properties change.

  2. Select Stays, Monthly rent or Buy

On Search, choose Stays for hotels, hostels, homestays, guesthouses and lodges, serviced apartments, resorts, farmstays and cottages, or unique stays. Choose Monthly rent for apartments, builder floors, independent houses, villas, PGs, coliving and commercial spaces. Choose Buy for property sales.

  3. Narrow the search to a realistic shortlist

Use the filters relevant to your category. For PGs, choose private, twin, 3, 4, 5 or 6+ sharing, tenant preference, bathroom and meals. For stays, select accommodation type, room capacity, bathroom and meals; choose a rate period and price basis before setting a maximum rate. Homes have bedroom, furnishing and availability filters. Save places to revisit, or remove a filter to widen your search.

02 / Making a shortlist

Compare the full picture before you visit

A stay rate, monthly rent or sale price is only the starting point. Check whether the stay rate is per night, week or month, and per room, bed, person or entire place. Contact the listing party using the available Call or WhatsApp action to confirm availability. Directions opens separately, and Website appears only when the listing includes one.

  • Ask about the total cost. Clarify taxes, deposits, maintenance, brokerage and what is included. For stays, confirm the final rate, minimum nights and any extra guest charges directly with the host.
  • Check the fit. Confirm room sharing, bathroom access, meals, guest capacity, check-in and check-out times or move-in date, parking and house rules that matter to you.
  • Plan the visit. Use Directions from the property card, agree on a time and check the route at the time you would normally travel.
  • Look beyond the photos. During the visit, check ventilation, water supply, mobile reception, access, noise and the condition of the spaces you will use.

LocalBrick helps you discover and contact listing parties. An authorization declaration or location pin does not independently verify ownership or the property’s condition. Confirm the person’s identity and authority, inspect the property and review the proposed terms before paying or committing.

03 / For hosts, owners and brokers

How to list your property online with LocalBrick

If you own or are authorized to advertise a property, create a listing from your phone or computer. Use your current location or search the property address, then take or upload photos.

  1. Open List property

Sign in, confirm you are authorized to advertise the property and choose a stay, monthly rental or property for sale. Select the property type using the listing cards. Owners and brokers can publish up to ten new listings per day.

  2. Choose the location and up to five photos

At the property, use Locate me and the camera. Otherwise, choose Enter location manually, search the address and confirm the pin. Take or upload one to five photos showing different spaces in good light. Keep personal documents and other people out of the frame.

  3. Add clear, accurate property details

Choose the category first: the form asks relevant questions. PGs ask about sharing, tenant preference, meals and bathrooms. Hotels and other stays ask about accommodation, capacity, rate basis and optional check-in details; floor area is not required for stays or PGs. Homes and commercial properties ask about layout, floor area and relevant charges. Add your contact number, choose Call, WhatsApp or both, and optionally add a website.

  4. Review, publish and keep it current

Check the photos, address text, price and contact details before publishing. Your listing can then appear in relevant map searches. Use My properties to edit details or disable the listing when the property is no longer available. You can replace photos using the camera or upload option; the published location stays fixed.

Questions about finding and listing a property

Can I find hotels, hostels and other short stays?

Yes. Choose Stays, then select hotels, hostels, homestays, guesthouses and lodges, serviced apartments, resorts, farmstays and cottages, or unique stays. Compare the accommodation, capacity and rate basis. Availability depends on current listings.

Which PG sharing options can I list or search for?

PG and coliving listings support private rooms, twin sharing, 3 sharing, 4 sharing, 5 sharing and 6+ sharing. You can also specify tenant preference, bathroom type and meals. PG rent is shown per person per month.

Can I book or pay through LocalBrick?

No. LocalBrick is for discovery and direct contact. Use the available Call or WhatsApp action to ask about availability and terms, open Directions separately, or visit the optional website. LocalBrick does not handle bookings or payments.

How do I find a house for rent near me?

Open the LocalBrick map and allow location access, or search for a locality, city or pincode. Select Rent, choose a property type and apply a budget. Move or zoom the map to explore nearby areas. Availability depends on the listings in the area you select.

Can I browse flats for sale as well as rental homes?

Yes. Choose Buy on the map to browse properties for sale, or Rent for rental listings. Categories include apartments, builder floors, villas, independent houses and commercial spaces. PG and coliving listings are available under Rent.

Can I list a property from my computer?

Yes. Owners and authorized brokers can publish from a computer or phone. Search the property address and confirm its pin, then upload photos. At the property, you can also use Locate me and the camera.

How many property photos can I add?

Take or upload between one and five photos of the property. Show different spaces, such as the main room, kitchen, bathroom, balcony and entrance. People can swipe through your photos in the map preview and view them in the property details.

Does a location pin mean the owner or property is verified?

No. Authority to list is self-declared. Location capture is a consistency check, not proof of ownership or a guarantee of physical presence. Confirm the owner’s identity, authority to list and property details independently before making a commitment.

Can I remove a property from search once it is taken?

Yes. Open My properties on your phone and disable the listing when it is no longer available. You can enable it again later, update its details or delete it. Keeping availability accurate helps people avoid unnecessary calls and visits.
